Job Introduction

Job title: Insight and Research Manager

A bit about us:

Liverpool is a city of ambition, pride and a strong sense of community. We are seeking an outstanding Insight and Research Manager to help us better understand the needs, experiences and priorities of our residents, ensuring their voices are at the heart of decision-making across the Council.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality insight, research and engagement activities that directly influence policy, service improvement, transformation programmes and communications campaigns. Working within our Communications and Engagement service, you will transform data, research findings and community intelligence into practical, evidence-based recommendations that improve outcomes for Liverpool's communities.

The role:

We're looking for a passionate and experienced insight professional who combines strong analytical expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

As Insight and Research Manager, you will support the Head of Insight, Research and Engagement in developing a modern, resident-focused insight and engagement function.

You will be responsible for:

Leading and managing insight, research and engagement projects from design through to delivery
Designing and delivering quantitative and qualitative research, consultation and engagement programmes
Analysing complex datasets and community intelligence to identify trends, opportunities and challenges
Developing dashboards, audience segmentation and business intelligence tools that support evidence-based decision making
Helping services design inclusive engagement approaches that reach communities whose voices are often underrepresented
Supporting a culture where resident feedback, customer insight and community intelligence are used to drive meaningful change
