Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems across our facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and relevant technical qualifications. This position is paid and suitable for both experienced engineers and recent graduates seeking to develop their careers in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement effective repair solutions promptly.
Install, overhaul, repair, and replace mechanical components such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and water treatment equipment.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimise system performance and implement upgrades or modifications as required.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
Participate in emergency repairs to minimise operational disruptions.

Experience

Proven experience as a Mechanical Service Engineer or similar role within industrial or manufacturing environments. Minimum 6 years.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated diagnostic tools.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised certification.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay: £31,200.00-£36,075.00 per year
