Reports To: Excecutive Baker

Pettigrew Bakeries is an award winning artisan bakery. We are professional, agile, fun and our goal is to create the finest Artisan Bread, Patisserie and Laminated pastries in Wales.

We use only the finest ingredients and do not compromise on quality. Our team is supported by the best trained Bakers & Patisserie Chefs in the industry with years of experience.

This position is full time and requires very early starts and weekend availability.

Responsibilities:
- Create the highest quality artisan bread from scratch
- Full lamination process from scratch
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality, working with sweet and savoury products.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Adhere to the highest level of food safety guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role is preferred, ideally some sourdough experience
- Knowledge of baking techniques and principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work very early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work well independently and as part of a team

We're currently seeking a full time baker to join our friendly team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the best bakers and lamination experts in the UK.

This position offers competitive hourly rates, an early start with early finish times, evenings off, and the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen. Perfect for someone that has a passion for viennoiserie and bread.

The role also includes brownies, welsh cakes, laminated products and many more delicious baked goods!

Each full shift includes a free lunch, amazing coffee, paid breaks and some of the best baked goods around!
