Full job description

The Shotblast Operator position is to provide secondary support to the production team and the machine shop to ensure that all parts are inspected and shotblast to a high standard before going to the customer.

To work as part of a two man shift team, to receive the parts from production, follow quality visual inspection to a high standard, shotblast products as per work instructions, and pack in accordance to packaging requirements of the customer.

To inspect all goods produced for any defects as per quality department work instructions.
In a timely manner highlight any high levels of scrap
To ensure housekeeping of cell is kept up to date, the working area is organised, clean and free from H&S hazards
To set speed of conveyor for each part produced to relevant setting
To follow packing instructions as highlighted by the Quality department
To ensure that daily work sheets are correct and kept up to date
Have the ability to use initiative
Have good attention to detail
Have ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
12 hour shifts
Full training will be given
Shift premium paid at 11% on day shift and 17% on night shift

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.23-£15.01 per hour
