Systems Administrator

Salary: GBP 65,000 per year

About the Role

Edithorizon Solutions is seeking a reliable and technically capable Systems Administrator to maintain, monitor, and support the organization's IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will help ensure systems remain secure, available, and efficient while providing technical support to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Perform system updates, backups, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and infrastructure issues.
Maintain technical documentation and system records.
Support cybersecurity and disaster-recovery initiatives.
Collaborate with vendors and internal technology teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments and networking.
Understanding of cloud services, virtualization, backups, and security.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
