At Skylight Transport, we are extremely passionate about what we do. We are a growing logistics company that provides contracted courier delivery services. We partner with national distribution companies supporting their dispatch process from collection to delivery.

This is a Self - Employed Job. A fantastic competitive day rate with fuel allowance and weekly pay. No previous experience required, full paid training offered. Van rental available, van owners welcome!

The Role - 'Luton Van' - Heavy & Bulky Delivery Driver'

We are looking for White Glove Delivery Drivers & Drivers Mates to work on our 'Heavy & bulky' delivery operation, delivering items such as: fridges, sofas, TV's, washing machines, flat-pack wardrobes, etc

Day Rate for - 9hr Planned route

Heavy & Bulky Delivery Driver (main driver driving Large Van) - £200 + 20% VAT = £240 INC VAT
Drivers Mate (supporting main driver) - £128.70 + 20% VAT = £154.44 INC VAT

No van, no problem as we can refer you to one of our van hire partners

Requirements for Main Delivery Driver

Anyone with over 6 points on their driving licence, is not eligible., Maximum 6 points, No IN, DG, DR codes.
Able to Pass Drug & Alcohol Test and DBS Check.
We also accept owner drivers, but they must have courier insurance together with Goods in Transit (25k) and Public liability (5 Million).

Responsibilities for Delivery Driver

Deliver items such as fridges, sofas, TV's, washing machines, flat-pack wardrobes
You will be entering into properties, not just delivering to doors
Some items will require you to install/set up goods - basic knowledge of white goods setup is advantageous
Deliver to both residential and business properties
Heavy lifting will be required
Most jobs will require 2-people to deliver, 1x main driver (Heavy & Bulky Delivery Driver) & 1x drivers mate
Safely and efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
