E-commerce Buyer & Sourcing Coordinator
Part-Time – 30 Hours Per Week | Flexible Hours | Office-Based
JJH Distribution Ltd is a growing e-commerce and distribution business, with Amazon UK as one of our main sales channels.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the business long term, not simply fill a part-time position.
We want to find an individual who is determined, commercially minded and willing to put the work in to help build and grow the company. As the business grows, we want this role to grow with it, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop into a more senior position over time.
The main focus of the role will be sourcing new products and suppliers, identifying profitable opportunities and helping manage our Amazon marketplace activity.
Main Responsibilities
Product Sourcing & Buying
- Research and identify profitable new products.
- Find and contact new UK and international suppliers.
- Request trade accounts, catalogues and price lists.
- Compare supplier pricing, MOQs and availability.
- Analyse products using Amazon and product research tools.
- Calculate estimated selling prices, Amazon fees, margins and ROI.
- Present suitable buying opportunities to management.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential products and suppliers.
- Follow up suppliers and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
Bundles & Multipacks
- Identify opportunities for new bundles and multipacks.
- Research competition, pricing and customer demand.
- Calculate profitability for different pack sizes.
- Help create and maintain new Amazon listings.
- Monitor performance and look for further opportunities.
Amazon Marketplace
- Help manage day-to-day Amazon Seller Central activity.
- Open and follow up Seller Support cases.
- Investigate listing, catalogue and variation issues.
- Monitor suppressed, stranded or inactive listings.
- Assist with new product setup and listings.
- Keep outstanding Amazon issues moving until they are resolved.
- Escalate important compliance or Account Health matters when required.
Commercial Admin & Follow-Ups
- Keep track of open supplier, sourcing and Amazon actions.
- Chase outstanding responses and ensure tasks are followed through.
- Keep product and supplier records organised.
- Assist with purchasing and product setup administration.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in someone with the right attitude and ambition.
You should be:
- Determined and willing to put the work in.
- Interested in helping build and grow a business.
- Looking for a long-term opportunity rather than a short-term job.
- Commercially minded and interested in finding profitable opportunities.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets.
- Confident communicating with suppliers by email and telephone.
- Able to work independently once trained.
- Persistent when chasing suppliers or resolving problems.
- Willing to learn and take on additional responsibility as the business grows.
Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Keepa, SellerAmp, Helium 10, Jungle Scout or similar tools would be an advantage, but attitude, determination and willingness to learn are equally important.
Hours
- 30 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible start and finish times
- Office-based
- Part-time position
Long-Term Opportunity
We are looking for someone we can invest time in and develop.
For the right person, this role has the potential to grow significantly as the business expands. We want someone who can eventually take greater ownership of sourcing, buying, supplier relationships and marketplace operations.
If you are ambitious, willing to learn and want the opportunity to help build something rather than simply complete a set list of tasks, we would be interested in hearing from you.
