Full job description

Meet and greet Pharmacy visitors and assist with their requirements

Assist in the supply of prescribed items (taking in a prescription and issuing prescribed items)

File completed prescriptions accurately

Assist in the sale of over-the-counter medicines and provide information to customers on symptoms and products

Assist patients with their medication queries, liaising with relevant staff to obtain answers for patients

Provide general administrative support: filing, database management and photocopying for Pharmacy staff as required Access email requests (and the new On-Line requests) for repeat prescriptions and process accordingly

Maintain excellent working relationships and good communications with patients and Trust employees, and contributes to the teamwork ethic so enabling the best possible service and care to patients

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices

The Pharmacy Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
