About the role
Punjab Sweets and Pure Vegi Indian Restaurant Takeaway Ltd is seeking an experienced Restaurant & Takeaway Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our busy vegetarian Indian takeaway and restaurant operation.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for operational management, staff supervision, quality assurance, customer service standards and business performance.
Main duties
* Manage the daily operation of the takeaway and restaurant.
* Lead and supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff.
* Recruit, train and develop employees.
* Prepare staff rotas ensuring adequate staffing levels.
* Monitor business performance and implement operational improvements.
* Manage stock levels and inventory systems.
* Place orders with suppliers and negotiate where appropriate.
* Monitor food costs, labour costs and wastage.
* Ensure compliance with Food Standards Agency requirements.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures and food hygiene legislation.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
* Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective action.
* Produce operational reports for directors.
* Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
* Develop procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.
* Ensure consistent food quality and customer service standards.
* Oversee opening and closing procedures.
* Monitor delivery performance and third-party ordering platforms.
* Coordinate promotional activities with management.
Essential requirements
* Minimum three years’ experience managing or supervising a food service operation.
* Experience leading teams within a restaurant or takeaway.
* Experience of stock management and supplier ordering.
* Experience producing staff rotas.
* Experience training staff.
* Good understanding of food safety legislation.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Rights to work in the UK.
Desirable
* Business qualification.
* Experience within Indian or South Asian food operations.
* Experience managing high-volume takeaway businesses.
* Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting.
Pay: £41,700.00 per year
