Support Worker (Female Only) – Lytham St Annes

Location: Lytham
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time Days or Waking Nights Available (36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts).
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle strongly preferred.

Please note: This post is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the personal care needs of the individual we support. Therefore, this vacancy is open to female applicants only. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

At Believe Care and Support, we're looking for dedicated Female Support Workers to join our team in Lytham. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support a young woman as she moves from long-term hospital care into her own home and begins the next chapter of her life.

You'll become part of a small, specialist team providing consistent 3:1 support, helping build confidence, independence and meaningful experiences. If you're someone who believes in treating people with dignity, respect and compassion, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

You'll work as part of female support team, providing personalised support on a 3:1 basis.

Working alongside healthcare professionals, family members and the wider support network, you'll help create a safe, consistent and empowering environment.

Support will include:

Encouraging independence and daily living skills
Supporting community access and social opportunities
Managing medication
Supporting with appointments
Helping with budgeting and finances
Promoting emotional wellbeing
Building routines and confidence
Encouraging hobbies and new experiences

About the Person You'll Support

You'll be supporting a young woman living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) who is recovering from an Eating Disorder.

She enjoys:

Spending time outdoors
Long walks and hill walking
Wildlife and nature
Music and documentaries
Animals, with hopes of adopting a rescue dog
Living an environmentally conscious lifestyle

She is looking for support workers who are calm, patient, understanding and able to build trusting professional relationships.

Previous experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, trauma, eating disorders or self-harm is welcomed but not essential. Full specialist training will be provided.
