Full job description

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Class 1 Container Drivers in Manchester depot.
As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday pattern, Night shifts and Day shifts available.

The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Occasional nights out maybe required for day drivers due to unforeseen circumstances.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
Driver CPC & Tacho Card
35 hours CPC
Container experience (preferred)
Good knowledge of written and spoken English

(No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
