Key Purpose:

To ensure the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance activities across the manufacturing site, supporting the Engineering Manager in optimizing asset reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facilities.
Plan and coordinate corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of equipment failures. Ensure alignment with Production requirements and Production schedules.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and HSE teams to prioritize maintenance tasks in line with operational and safety requirements.
Manage work orders, spare parts, and resource allocation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal maintenance policies.
Monitor contractor performance and coordinate external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
Track and analyze maintenance KPIs (e.g., equipment availability, mean time between failures, maintenance costs).
Support continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, asset management, and maintenance efficiency.
Provide input into capital projects and equipment upgrades from a maintenance planning perspective.

Timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
Effective utilization of resources, spare parts, and contractors.
Compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Accurate and timely reporting of maintenance KPIs. Brings Transparency to Engineering & Maintenance activities.
Positive audit outcomes from internal and external reviews.
Contribution to cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations.

Technical Competencies:

Advanced knowledge of computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preventive & predictive maintenance planning and an ability to manage work orders, scheduling/reporting.

Skilled in developing and optimizing maintenance schedules with general knowledge of reliability engineering principles; an understanding of asset reliability/performance improvement; regulatory compliance (UK/EU)

and familiarity with maintenance-related safety and environmental regulations.

The successful job holder will also be competent in spare parts & inventory management; contractor & vendor management; project support and capital planning; data analysis/KPI reporting; co-ordination of external service providers and managing stock levels and procurement planning.

Qualification(s) & Education:

Graduate calibre in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance.
Professional certifications (preferred): CMMS training, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), or equivalent EU-recognised qualification.
Additional training in asset management, predictive maintenance technologies, and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
