Full job description

AES Smart is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our growing team based in Dartford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-established company that continues to expand, with the potential for a long-term career path for someone who excels in the role.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 15:30

The role will include:

Picking and preparing orders for engineers.

Loading and unloading delivery lorries and vans, both manually and using a forklift truck.

Liaising with engineers by phone and face-to-face.

Scanning stock in and out of the warehouse, including deliveries, orders and returned assets.

Using IT systems, stock control systems and our business management portal.

Managing stock levels and placing weekly orders to maintain availability.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider warehouse team.

Delivering stock to off-site locations across the country.

Assisting with housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.

Completing overtime when required, including occasional evenings or weekends.

The ideal candidate will have:

A reliable, honest and professional approach.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A strong work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and the ability to manage stock accurately.

Previous warehouse experience (desirable but not essential).

A current Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (preferred but not essential).

Experience using IT systems, Excel and stock control systems (highly advantageous).

The ability to carry out manual handling tasks as required.
