Receptionist – KRB Motors

KRB Motors – 8 Ashby Road, Ibstock, LE67 6HA
Part Time to Full-Time Position
Shifts between 8:00am – 5:30pm

KRB Motors is looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our friendly independent garage team.

This is a busy and varied role where you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the reception and workshop. We are looking for someone professional, approachable, and confident managing bookings, customer enquiries, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner
Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and MOTs
Provide customers with updates on vehicle progress and expected completion times
Prepare job cards and maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
Liaise with mechanics and workshop staff regarding schedules and customer requirements
Handle payments, process invoices, and explain charges clearly to customers
Manage emails, telephone enquiries, messages, and general administration
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised reception area
Support the smooth running of the garage and deliver excellent customer service at all times

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role
Automotive or garage experience is preferred but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational and time-management abilities
Basic understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs, or willingness to learn
Confident using computers, booking systems, and payment systems
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a busy environment
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team
