Full job description

Please apply if you have previous experience working in a busy receptionist supervisor role, either in the Veterinary sector or a similar field

Role:

As a supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with team to deliver high standards of patient and client care ensuring a positive client and patient journey.

You will ensure that:

· The reception is run efficiently

· Clients are dealt with professionally

· Phone calls, enquires and emails are dealt with in a timely manner

· Assist with invoicing and maintenance of accounts

· Support the clinical team with smooth day‑to‑day operations

· Maintain a tidy and efficient reception environment

· Manage the weekly staff rota

· Schedule and log all staff leave on our system

· Support the clinical and reception team

· Support administrative tasks such as record keeping, reporting incidents, and managing reservations as needed

· Holding meetings as required with staff, such as probation reviews, return from sickness and being the first point of contact for HR matters and complaints

· Excellent phone etiquette skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously

· Experience supervising or leading a team within a customer service environment is advantageous

You will work between 25 to 40 hours per week across Monday - Friday, on a shift pattern between the hours of 8:30 am and 7:00 pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break (days and hours can be flexible but you must be available for a minimum of 3 to 4 days per week however, you must be available to work Fridays )
