Private Client Legal Assistant

Kingston Upon Thames

Overview

Join our dynamic legal team as a Private Client Legal Assistant, where your energy and organizational skills will play a vital role in supporting our private client services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced solicitors, assisting with a variety of legal tasks that help clients protect their wealth and estate planning needs. You will be at the heart of a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth administrative operations while delivering exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support to private client solicitors, including managing schedules and correspondence
Prepare and draft legal documents, letters, and reports with precision using audio typing and Microsoft Office tools
Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible
Assist with client communications via phone, email, and in-person meetings, demonstrating excellent communication skills
Conduct research and gather information relevant to estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate matters
Manage incoming calls efficiently using Microsoft Outlook and ensure timely responses to client inquiries
Support the team in preparing presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for internal meetings or client updates

Skills

Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed to support document preparation
Proven administrative experience within a legal or professional environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook for daily tasks and document management
Sound IT skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new software or systems used within the firm
Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for managing multiple priorities efficiently
Effective time management abilities to meet deadlines in a busy legal setting
