More than another sales position
O’Neil Gas is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Boiler Sales & Development Manager
to take ownership of our domestic boiler sales process and help develop one of the fastest-growing areas of our business.
We are particularly interested in speaking to successful salespeople who may already be doing well in their current role, but feel they are ready for a bigger long-term opportunity.
This isn’t simply about selling boilers. We are looking for someone who can help us grow this division, improve how we sell, and potentially build a sales team around them as the business expands.
The immediate opportunity offers a secure £35,000 basic salary with realistic earnings of £50,000+, but the longer-term opportunity could be considerably greater for the right person.
Our aim is for this role to develop into a Senior Sales position, with responsibility for building and leading a larger sales operation.
For an exceptional individual who becomes instrumental in growing this part of the business over the long term, we would also be open to discussing progression beyond Sales Manager into senior leadership, directorship and potentially equity in the business.
Nothing is guaranteed and progression would need to be earned through performance, but we don’t want to put a ceiling on where this opportunity could eventually lead.
A secure basic salary with genuine earning potential
This is not a role based on a low salary and unrealistic commission targets. You will receive a solid basic salary, a bonus for every boiler you sell and access to a large, consistent supply of genuine customer enquiries.
The better you perform, the greater your earning potential becomes.
A commission structure that rewards performance
You will receive a set bonus payment for every boiler sale you complete. As your sales performance increases, you progress through the commission tiers and earn a higher bonus amount for each boiler sold.
This means that strong performance is rewarded in two ways:
· You earn commission on every completed boiler sale.
· As you sell more boilers, your commission payment per sale increases.
. Someone who performs well will have a genuine opportunity to move through the tiers and significantly increase their earnings.
All sales leads are provided
You will not be expected to spend your time cold calling, prospecting or trying to generate your own appointments.

You will take ownership of the domestic boiler sales journey, work closely with our experienced operational and engineering teams, and have the opportunity to influence how our sales operation develops.
We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to inherit a sales process and hit a monthly target.
We want someone ambitious who can bring ideas, improve what we already do and help us build a much larger sales operation.

Previous experience in the gas, heating or boiler sector would be highly advantageous.

The role
You will manage the complete customer sales journey, from initial enquiry and home appointment through to quotation, follow-up, sale and successful installation.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Responding to company-generated boiler sales enquiries.
· Attending appointments in customers’ homes.
· Understanding each customer’s property, heating requirements and budget.
· Designing and recommending suitable boiler and heating solutions.
· Preparing accurate, professional and competitive quotations.
· Following up enquiries and converting qualified opportunities into sales.
· Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate customer records.
· Working closely with our office, operations and installation teams.
· Identifying opportunities to improve our sales systems, conversion rates and customer journey.
· Helping develop the sales department as boiler installation volumes continue to increase.
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience in technical, consultative or solution-based sales.
· Can quickly build trust and communicate confidently with homeowners.
· Is commercially driven but always puts the customer’s needs first.
· Has strong quotation, negotiation, follow-up and closing skills.
· Is organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities.
· Takes personal responsibility for sales performance.
· Wants to contribute ideas rather than simply follow an existing process.
· Is ambitious and attracted by the opportunity to build something over the long term.
· Holds a full UK driving licence.
Experience in gas boilers, heating, plumbing, renewables, construction, property services or home improvements would be advantageous.
