Job Overview

Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship Available, Available after successfully completing 3 months of employment (subject to performance, business needs, and UK Home Office eligibility).

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and assistance to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a caring attitude. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and possess a genuine interest in caring for others.

Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support individuals with meal preparation and feeding as required
Help with medication management in accordance with care plans
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure personalised care
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for all
Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments if necessary

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
Good IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating records accurately
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel or transportation of clients
Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
