Job Title: Land-Based Specialist Lecturer

Status: Permanent, 37 hours per week

About the Role

This is a focused position dedicated to teaching, learning and development which would be ideal for someone who is passionate about education and has a genuine interest in the development of young people

The college will support you to deliver high-quality training that combines theory with practical. You will play a key role in supporting students as they develop the skills and knowledge by bringing your experience of working with industry to ensure your learners gain real world experiences.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and development focused on student engagement and progression.
Combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training to support real-world learning.
Support and motivate young people as they develop subject-specific skills and industry knowledge.
Draw on current or previous industry experience to enrich learning and provide meaningful, real-world context.

The successful candidate will:

Bring enthusiasm for a career change and demonstrate a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and experience with the next generation.

Show a genuine interest in and appreciation of one or more relevant sectors, supported by industry or academic experience.

Be willing to undertake teacher training and engage in ongoing professional development within education.

Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage, support and inspire learners.

Exhibit effective planning and organisational skills, with a clear focus on student progress, achievement and success.

Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
