Overview

Duties

Prepare and cook dishes within your designated section, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
Oversee the food preparation process, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist in training junior staff and interns, sharing your culinary knowledge and techniques
Monitor inventory levels for your section, notifying management of stock shortages or reorder needs
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety guidelines

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Prior experience in restaurant service or serving is a plus but not mandatory
A passion for creating delicious dishes and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
