Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Photographer specialising in maternity and newborn photography to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in capturing intimate moments, and proficiency with industry-standard editing software. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, creating timeless images that celebrate the beginning of new life. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality visual storytelling through photography.

Responsibilities

Conduct professional maternity and newborn photo sessions in studio or on-location settings, ensuring a comfortable experience for clients.
Utilise advanced photographic techniques to capture emotive and high-quality images that meet client expectations.
Edit photographs using programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to enhance image quality while maintaining natural aesthetics.
Manage post-production workflows efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of edited images.
Maintain and organise photographic equipment, props, and studio environment to ensure readiness for sessions.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide guidance on poses, lighting, and styling choices.
Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content that showcases recent work and promotes the studio’s services.
Stay updated with current photography trends, techniques, and software updates to continually improve skills and service quality.

Skills

Proven experience in maternity and newborn photography with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite for photo editing and video editing as required.
Excellent knowledge of photography principles including lighting, composition, and colour correction.
Strong editing skills with an eye for detail to produce polished images suitable for client delivery.
Ability to manage social media platforms effectively for marketing purposes.
Good communication skills to liaise professionally with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Organised with the ability to handle multiple sessions simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
Creative flair combined with professionalism and a friendly demeanour that puts clients at ease during shoots.
