£13.38 per hour | Full-time | Bradbury Wing

A home, not just a service

Bradbury Wing is a 20-bed care home located in the tranquil setting of Newcastle, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. The home specialises in providing complex care for young adults with physical and learning disabilities. Residents here have access to advanced medical support, including PEG feeding and ventilators, tailored to individual needs.

What you'll do

Support people with everyday living, including personal care, meal preparation, medication, and maintaining a safe, comfortable home.
Promote independence and choice by delivering person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs, goals, and preferences.
Accompany people to appointments, social activities, and community events, encouraging meaningful participation and inclusion.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Build positive relationships with the people you support, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
Most importantly, empower each person to live the life they choose, with dignity, respect, and as much independence as possible.

Complex care

This role may involve supporting individuals with a range of complex healthcare needs, including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding (PEG tubes), medication administration, epilepsy management, and other specialist clinical interventions. Full training, competency assessments, and ongoing support will be provided.

Your working hours

We offer full-time hours
You’ll need to be flexible to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota

Typical shifts may include:

Monday to Sunday, Days various shifts, 8am-8pm, 8am - 2pm, 2pm-8pm. Various shifts amounting to 40.5hrs per week.

Monday to Sunday Nights 8pm-8am

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.
