Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer with strong experience testing native mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. This is a 100% manual testing role (no automation required) where you'll work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality mobile releases.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mobile testing, API validation, defect management, regression testing, and is comfortable working in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of native iOS and Android applications.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
Create detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.
Validate APIs using Postman and Charles Proxy.
Test builds locally on physical iOS and Android devices.
Install and validate production/test builds using Firebase (or similar distribution tools).
Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and release activities.
Verify fixes and perform regression testing before production releases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Manual QA experience.
Strong experience testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
Hands-on API testing experience using Postman.
Experience using Charles Proxy for network traffic analysis and debugging.
Experience creating and managing defects in JIRA.
Strong regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing experience.
Understanding of GitHub repositories and basic Git workflows.
Experience testing applications locally on physical iOS and Android devices.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience using AI tools to write test cases
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Experience with Firebase App Distribution for installing and testing builds.
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as:
Jenkins
CircleCI
Understanding of mobile application release processes.
Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to:
Generate test cases
Improve test coverage
Assist with bug analysis
Increase QA productivity
Experience working with mobile logs and debugging tools.
