Overview

We are seeking a reliable and versatile General Handyman/woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set encompassing mechanical, electrical, and maintenance tasks, with the ability to oversee small projects. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs across various facilities.
Assist with electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs, with knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
Perform welding work where necessary, adhering to safety standards and technical specifications.
Oversee small projects, supervising junior staff or apprentices as required, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge relevant to machinery maintenance and repair.
Experience in general maintenance tasks across facilities or industrial environments.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Supervising experience or leadership qualities to oversee team members effectively.
Customer service skills with a professional approach when engaging with clients or colleagues.
