Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Management Consultant to support the strategic growth and operational excellence of our retail business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to evaluate business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies that enhance commercial success across our retail operations. This is a higher-skilled professional role requiring strong analytical, research, and strategic planning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business operations, commercial performance and organisational processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity and profitability.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis and industry benchmarking to support strategic business planning and sustainable growth.
Review sales performance, customer trends and operational data to provide evidence-based recommendations to senior management.
Develop and implement business improvement initiatives that optimise retail operations, customer experience and commercial outcomes.
Evaluate existing business policies, procedures and workflows, recommending enhancements to improve operational effectiveness and compliance.
Prepare feasibility studies, business cases and strategic reports to support new business opportunities, service development and expansion projects.
Advise senior management on organisational structure, resource utilisation and operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented business improvement projects and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Collaborate with departmental managers to identify operational challenges and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
Analyse financial and operational performance indicators to support informed decision-making and long-term planning.
Support the development and implementation of digital transformation initiatives and technology-driven process improvements where appropriate.
Ensure business strategies and operational recommendations align with the company's commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
Prepare detailed management reports, presentations and performance dashboards for senior leadership.
Keep abreast of market developments, consumer behaviour and emerging industry trends to identify new commercial opportunities.
Provide strategic advice to management on improving competitiveness, business sustainability and organisational performance.

Experience

Proven experience in business analysis or management consulting roles, demonstrating successful project delivery.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with industry-standard tools for business analysis, project management, and data visualization.
