Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by following instructions from senior chefs to ensure timely dish delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Help with food production tasks such as portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes before they are served
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment
- Contribute to inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or expired items
- Work in other areas of the hotel when necessary
Skills
- Proven kitchen experience or culinary training in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation tasks effectively
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team management
