Job Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as an Assistant Roofer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting roofing projects from start to finish. This energetic position offers hands-on experience in roofing installation and repair, working alongside skilled professionals to ensure high-quality results. As an Assistant Roofer, you'll gain valuable construction skills, learn safety protocols, and contribute to building durable, weather-resistant roofs that protect homes and businesses alike. Duties

Assist lead roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers in accordance with safety standards
Handle heavy lifting of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation to ensure efficient workflow
Use schematics and technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
Support fabrication and cutting of roofing materials using welding equipment and fabrication tools as needed
Assist with masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or other related tasks to support overall construction efforts
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and storing tools properly throughout the day

Skills

Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings for roofing projects
Basic welding skills for metal roofing components or structural supports
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring devices
Experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable
Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials including shingles, metal panels, or membranes
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively on various construction tasks
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
Understanding of plumbing or masonry basics can be a plus for versatile support roles
Good teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on-site
