Full job description

Denma Cleaning Services Ltd is looking for a Tender Writer to join our team at our Eastbourne office on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

We are looking for someone who is extremely organised, confident using computers and has excellent attention to detail.

The role will involve finding suitable tender opportunities, reviewing tender documents and putting together clear, accurate and professional submissions on behalf of Denma.

Previous tender writing experience would be a big advantage, but we are also happy to consider someone with strong written, administrative and computer skills who has the ability to learn quickly.

What you will be doing

Searching for suitable tender opportunities
Reviewing tender documents and understanding exactly what the client is asking for
Writing and completing tender responses
Completing PQQs, questionnaires and other tender documentation
Working with our management and operational teams to gather the information needed for submissions
Making sure all questions and requirements have been fully answered
Proofreading and checking submissions for spelling, grammar, accuracy and consistency
Preparing and organising supporting documents
Uploading and submitting tenders through online procurement portals
Keeping track of tender deadlines and making sure nothing is missed
Maintaining records of tenders submitted and their outcomes
Helping us build and improve our library of tender responses and supporting information

What we are looking for

You will need to have:

Excellent computer skills
Excellent written English, spelling and grammar
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Confidence working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to work to strict deadlines
The ability to manage your own workload
Confidence communicating with different members of the team and chasing information when needed
The ability to read detailed documents and pick out important information and requirements

Previous experience in tender writing, bid writing or procurement submissions would be desirable but is not essential.

Experience within commercial cleaning, facilities management or a similar industry would also be useful but is not required.

Salary & Bonus

The salary for this position is £30,000 per annum, pro rata for the 6-month contract.

In addition to the basic salary, we are offering 2% commission on the profit from contracts successfully won through tenders completed by you.

Hours & Location

Monday to Friday
8:00am – 4:00pm
30-minute lunch break

This is an office-based position at our Eastbourne office, so applicants must live locally or be able to travel to Eastbourne on a daily basis.

The position is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on the needs of the business.
