Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice. We are a modern private dental practice ( with a google review score to reflect this ) we pride ourselves on delivering exceptionally high levels of care and customer service . We are centrally located in Peterborough City Centre with free on site car parking.

The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm and two Saturdays per month from 08.30-2.30.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks that keep our practice running smoothly. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring efficient operations within the dental practice

Duties

Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments as necessary.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
Assist with insurance verification and claims processing to facilitate smooth transactions for patients.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the day.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.

Skills

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with patients and staff.
Proficiency in office software applications, including word processing and spreadsheet tools.
Previous experience in an administrative or office role is highly desirable, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Professionally presented with a can-do attitude
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong interpersonal skills to foster a supportive environment for patients.
