The Old School House Nursery & Pre-School – Ashley Cross, Poole

Full Time | Permanent
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm

We're now looking for a warm, organised and professional Office Administrator to become the welcoming face of our Ashley Cross nursery.

About the Role

You'll be the first person many families meet or speak to, making a lasting first impression of our nursery. Your friendly personality, professionalism and attention to detail will help ensure every parent, visitor and colleague feels welcomed and supported.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, you'll play an important role in the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by supporting our Management Team, Finance Team and Room Leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming parents, visitors and professionals to the nursery.
Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries with warmth and professionalism.
Supporting the Nursery Management Team with day-to-day administration.
Assisting our Finance Team with administrative tasks and record keeping.
Supporting Room Leaders within classrooms duties when required.
Maintaining accurate child records and confidential documentation.
Ordering office supplies and keeping administration systems organised.
Helping ensure the nursery office remains efficient, welcoming and professional.

About You

You'll be someone who:

Loves working with people and providing excellent customer service.
Has previous administration or office management experience.
Is organised, proactive and able to prioritise a busy workload.
Has excellent communication skills.
Is confident using Microsoft Office and computer systems.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Understands the importance of confidentiality.
Enjoys being part of a supportive team.

Experience in a nursery or education setting would be welcomed but isn't essential—we value attitude, professionalism and kindness just as much as experience.
