Full job description

Buxton Butcher's are seeking Night Shift Scales Operators for an immediate start. Working full time on a permanent contract, 5 nights a week (shifts are Sunday-Thursday, or Monday to Friday) 8pm to 5am or 9pm - 6am.

Duties to include (but not limited to):

Pick orders accurately and efficiently
Ensure that all picked items are in good condition and meet quality standards
Ensure stock is picked in date rotation
Note any shortages for butchers to prep
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Follow all health and hygiene and food handling requirements
Work as part of a team to ensure orders are processed quickly and efficiently
Other ad-hoc jobs as required to help the butchers and scale operators
Accurately weigh meat products over butchery scales
Ensure labelling of products and customer packaging is correct
Check dates and codes for products as they go across the scales
Box or tray customer orders for drivers to load
Move boxes & trays to driver storage fridges

Experience:

Previous experience as scale operator, supermarket till operator, order picker or in a similar role is preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking
Good understanding of written and spoken English to ensure accurate picking
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
Good time keeping
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

5 Nights a week (Sunday - Thursday, or Monday-Friday)
£13.69 per hour
