About Us

Transputec is an established Information Technology Services and Solutions company with more than 35 years of IT innovation and excellent customer service.

Transputec was founded by two computer science students from Imperial College in their dorms. Developing applications for the banking industry and then migrating to a full IT services organisation.

The Role

We are looking for an Onsite IT Support Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line deskside support at our client's Central London location. You will be the go-to person for resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth IT operations for their staff and working to defined service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows 11, Office 365, and network connectivity.
Manage Active Directory and Azure AD tasks (password resets, account setups).
Perform hardware repairs, imaging, and device builds.
Support ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
Collaborate with the wider IT team to maintain service levels and deliver projects.

Essential Skills & Experience

1–2 years' experience in deskside or onsite IT support.
A strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP).
Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure AD.
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and imaging.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft MCP.
Experience of working with ITIL frameworks.
Knowledge of endpoint security tools (e.g., Defender ATP).
