Full job description

St Chamond's Nursing Home is looking for a friendly, organised and professional Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week).

This is a varied and rewarding role, providing essential administrative support to the daily operation of our nursing home. You will work closely with management, care staff, residents and their families, helping to ensure the smooth running of the home whilst delivering a professional and welcoming service.

Key Responsibilities

Answer telephone calls and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide administrative support to the management team.
Maintain accurate resident and staff records.
Assist with general office duties.
Manage emails, appointments, correspondence and filing systems.
Assist with admissions paperwork and regulatory compliance documentation.
Liaise professionally with hospitals, GP surgeries, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with GDPR requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous office administration experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
A professional, reliable and confidential approach to work.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Previous experience within a nursing home, care home or healthcare environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as full induction and training will be provided.
