Full job description

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Environmental Protection Team, which within Regulatory Services and Health. The position is for 1 full time post, which is 37 hours per week.

About you

The role involves handling complaints of statutory nuisance (i.e. noise, odour, dust smoke etc.), public health, pest control and waste of private land relating to both domestic and commercial premises. You must be able to interpret legislation and guidance and have experience of undertaking investigations, gathering evidence and presenting evidence to support formal enforcement action. You will also be required to represent the team at meetings and working groups and disseminate the information to the others in the team.

The successful candidate will have:

A relevant qualification and/or experience pertaining to the work undertaken;
A high degree of interpersonal skills;
Ability to prioritise cases and workloads;
The ability to converse at ease with both internal and external customers;
A flexible approach to work.
