Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prepper/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing pannels, alloy wheels & applying paint ensuring high-quality finishes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to contribute. The position involves physical labour and requires adherence to safety standards, with an emphasis on precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and finishes
Apply paint using spray guns, spray equipment, maintaining consistent coverage
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during preparation and painting tasks
Conduct minor repairs or touch-ups as needed to maintain surface integrity
Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate smooth workflow
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills

Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for handling tools and equipment efficiently
Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, spray guns, pulling equipment & airlines
Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, or grinders is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during material handling tasks
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes with minimal imperfections
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks within deadlines
Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions if working outdoors

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a hands-on position in painting and surface preparation. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, safety consciousness, and a commitment to delivering excellent results. At least 5-7 years experience is required & national qualification is highly recommended

Pay: £13.84-£16.50 per hour
