Full job description

We are looking for someone with high attention to detail to join our team at Pontrilas Sawmills.

We are a family run company that is expanding and always looking to develop with market trends and keeping ahead of the curve. We have seen large investment in the company on the last few years with the goal of developing business growth.

The role we are looking for someone to fill, is to operate and cover all administrative roles on our weighbridge. This includes using our bespoke system to capture and log the weights of incoming and outgoing lorries, and logging all entries correctly.

You will deal directly with all lorry drivers conversing with them for the correct information to book them in and out of site, as well as conversing with our loading bay supervisor, stock controller, and operations and transport management teams.

This is working a weekly rotating shift pattern, of 6am-2pm and 12pm-8pm Monday to Friday.

Roles and responsibilities

Accurate weighing of lorries
Capturing information correctly on a bespoke computer system
Ensuring all weighing operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations
Organising and maintaining paperwork
Liaising with different teams to relay messages for loads
Maintaining a professional manner when dealing with all drivers
Be the first point of contact for site visitors
Prepare delivery notes for drivers
Answering telephone calls
Ensure all visitors are checked in
