We are recruiting for a Category Specialist who will join our Product Sales team at either Category Specialist Executive or Senior Category Specialist level, depending on your experience, industry knowledge, and commercial capability.

Reporting to the Senior Component Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, developing commercial opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and supporting revenue growth across assigned product categories.
For candidates joining at Senior level, the role will also include greater ownership of category performance, complex commercial negotiations, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer enquiries, RFQs, quotations, and sales opportunities across assigned categories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Deliver commercial solutions including outright sales, exchanges, loans, and consumable requirements.
- Drive revenue growth and maximise inventory utilisation.
- Support pricing, negotiation, and opportunity conversion activities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and ERP records.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Logistics, Customer Services, and other internal teams.
- Support business development activities, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to sales reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement projects.
Additional Responsibilities at Senior Level
- Take ownership of commercial performance across assigned product categories.
- Lead larger and more complex sales opportunities and commercial negotiations.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to junior colleagues.
- Contribute to category strategy, forecasting, and commercial planning.
- Identify asset purchasing opportunities and support inventory investment decisions.
- Act as a senior commercial contact for key customers and stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience
For Category Specialist Executive Level:
- Experience in a commercial, sales, account management, or customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good commercial awareness and organisational ability.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
For Senior Category Specialist Level:
- Proven experience within aviation product sales, aerospace, MRO, component trading, or a similar aviation aftermarket environment.
- Strong knowledge of aviation products, including FN, SV, OH rotables, and consumable spares.
- Experience managing customer relationships and complex commercial opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, margin management, and opportunity development.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Quantum.
- Understanding of aviation inventory management and aftermarket operations.
- Experience supporting exchange, loan, and asset purchasing activities.
Working Arrangements
This role requires site-based to support collaboration, visibility, and stakeholder engagement. Hybrid working in accordance to business requirements and performance.
Occasional travel may be required for customer visits, supplier meetings, exhibitions, and internal site visits.
