Goods Receiver & Storekeeper
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Goods Receiver & Storekeeper to join our team at The Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel.
In this key operational role, you will be responsible for managing all daily deliveries to the hotel, ensuring every item is received, checked, recorded, and stored correctly. You will also support both the Finance and Food & Beverage teams through accurate stock control, invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and the maintenance of purchasing systems such as BirchStreet, Beagle, and CAPCON.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoys working closely with both operational and finance teams. Your Responsibilities
Receiving Deliveries
- Receive, inspect, and document all deliveries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify goods against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Record temperatures for food deliveries and ensure proper storage in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Photograph and document damaged goods and follow up with suppliers to obtain credits where required.
- Communicate delivery arrivals to relevant departments and coordinate the return of crates and pallets.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
Systems & Reporting
- Record all received goods daily in BirchStreet and maintain accurate Purchase Order records.
- Reconcile Purchase Orders with supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies with Accounts Payable and suppliers.
- Process and approve invoices in Beagle and perform weekly and monthly system reconciliations.
- Maintain the CAPCON beverage inventory system and generate required inventory and cost reports.
- Prepare monthly variance, waste, and utilities reports, ensuring all documentation is filed accurately and is audit-ready.
Store Inventory Management
- Manage the beverage cellar and storage areas, ensuring stock is rotated using FIFO principles, correctly labelled, and securely stored.
- Receive beverage deliveries, prepare requisitions, and distribute stock to hotel outlets.
- Conduct monthly physical stock counts, ensuring accurate system reconciliation and management sign-off.
- Monitor and report stock variances, breakages, wastage, and spoilage across all outlets.
- Carry out spot checks, monitor expiry dates, investigate shortages, and coordinate returns to suppliers.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage and Finance teams to ensure accurate stock reporting and support menu costing activities.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar Goods Receiving, Stores, Inventory Control, or Cost Control role, ideally within hospitality.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload with minimal supervision.
- Good computer literacy and experience using stock management and purchasing systems.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
