Business Development Executive

Salary: £35,000 per year plus commission
Contract: Full-time

Concept Projects Group provides engineering, project management, mechanical installation and construction solutions to clients across the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Manufacturing sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Executive to help identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships and support the production of high-quality proposals and tender submissions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both developing new business and creating compelling written submissions that help turn opportunities into secured projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding CPG’s client portfolio, developing our sales pipeline and supporting the company’s growth across our target sectors.

Responsibilities Include:

Identify and target prospective clients across the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Manufacturing sectors
Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, cold calling and industry events
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Arrange and attend meetings with potential clients
Build relationships with key decision-makers including Engineering Managers, Operations Managers, Site Managers and Directors
Understand client requirements and identify opportunities for CPG’s services
Promote the company’s capabilities through presentations and client meetings
Identify tender opportunities through procurement platforms and client relationships
Manage the bid process from initial enquiry through to submission
Write, edit and coordinate high-quality proposals, quotations and tender responses
Gather technical and commercial information from internal stakeholders
Produce professional capability statements, case studies and presentation documents
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and forecasts
Support account development activity to encourage repeat business
Attend exhibitions, conferences and networking events representing the CPG brand

Skills and Experience Required:

Previous experience in a Sales, Business Development or Bid Writing role
Proven track record of generating new business opportunities
Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing proposals or tenders
Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Self-motivated with a proactive approach
Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction or technical services
Experience submitting bids and tenders through procurement portals
Knowledge of FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Industrial sectors
Experience using CRM systems
Understanding of project delivery and engineering services
