About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Varied, casual cover (8 or 12 hours shifts)

As a Security Officer, you will be the first line of support for employees and visitors to the site, providing a professional and friendly service. You will be responsible for monitoring fire, security, and building systems, ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner, and in compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

Internal and external foot patrols
High level control room monitoring of access control, CCTV and alarm systems
Ensuring all procedures, site/assignment instructions and SOP’s are followed at all times
Site entry, car park barrier control and traffic management
After hours Reception duties
Accurate report writing using computer based software
Sorting and delivering post and parcels from Royal mail and couriers to staff and companies on Campus

Skills and requirements
Full right to work in the UK
SIA Licence Frontline Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor is essential
PSS Licence desirable
Previous Security experience would be desirable but not essential
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Smart and professional appearance, good observation and customer service skills
Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a diverse team
Computer literate in MS word, Excel and Outlook are essential
Clean UK Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
