Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Funding Officer to join our team and drive our fundraising initiatives forward. In this vital role, you will be responsible for securing funding through strategic relationship management, compelling marketing efforts, and effective use of our own data. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, and ensure the sustainability of our programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by connecting with donors, stakeholders, and community partners to support our mission.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational financial goals.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing donors, partners, and potential funding sources through personalized communication and engagement.
Manage donor databases using CRM software like Raiser's Edge to track interactions, donations, and campaign progress efficiently.
Coordinate marketing campaigns aimed at raising awareness about our initiatives and attracting new supporters.
Prepare compelling grant proposals, sponsorship requests, and funding applications with clear objectives and detailed budgets.
Organize and participate in public relations activities, events, and outreach efforts to enhance organizational visibility.
Provide excellent customer service to donors and stakeholders by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.

Experience

Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or relationship management within a nonprofit or similar environment.
Strong understanding of fundraising techniques including grant writing, sponsorship acquisition, and donor engagement strategies.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively convey organizational goals and build rapport with diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in public relations or community outreach is a plus.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence in stakeholder interactions.
