Job Summary

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and consistency, adhering to traditional techniques and recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring all tools and ingredients are sanitized and properly stored.
Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure safe meal preparation and serving practices.
Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations.
Manage ingredient inventory, monitor freshness, and communicate supply needs to ensure seamless service.
Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment focused on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of sushi-making techniques, including knife skills, fish handling, and rice preparation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks related to meal preparation and serving.
Prior experience in serving or interacting with customers is a plus.
