Chestnut Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing team, providing tailored support for pupils within our specialist resource provision and across mainstream classrooms.

Your Opportunity

This rewarding role is ideal for someone passionate about empowering children, particularly those with autism to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support, promoting independence, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment where every child can succeed. If you are committed to making a meaningful difference, modelling high expectations, and supporting pupils to reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

Experience as a Primary or Special School Teaching Assistant
Good General Education including English and Maths at Grade C GCSE or equivalent
Commitment to undertaking further specialist training or qualifications relating to the field(s) of SEND, including SEMH, SLCN and Autism
Extensive experience of working with pupils with SENd
A good working knowledge of SEN Policy and the SEND Code of Practice

Salary: GLF Specialist Point 1 - £27,061 + Outer London Weighting Allowance

Actual Salary: £22,633.74 + Outer London Weighting Allowance

Hours: 35hrs per week. 8:30 – 4pm 30 mins unpaid break
