About the Role:

We are currently hiring full & part time Sales Assistants to join our shop team at Gaynor Sports in Ambleside. Our Retail Sales Assistants are the key people in our shop, gaining customer loyalty and sales through a friendly, knowledgeable, and bespoke service. We are looking for someone who strives to develop their skills and product knowledge in our ever-changing retail environment.

Gaynors is a family-owned business in the heart of the Lake District. Dedicated to providing the best customer experience, the shop has grown into what many consider to be the best Outdoor Retailer in the UK. Our shop has multiple departments each offering an unparalleled choice of Outdoor Clothing, Footwear & Equipment, with a fantastic and knowledgeable staff in a location that can't be beaten.

We are looking for someone with:

Excellent customer service and people skills.
An eye for detail.
Good timekeeping.
An enthusiastic and hands-on approach.
An interest in our products.

(Knowledge in outdoor clothing and equipment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be given to successful candidates.)

Responsibilities and Duties include:

Helping customers in a friendly manner.
Assisting customers face-to-face or on the telephone.
Handling deliveries.
Merchandising stock and displays.
Maintaining a good standard of personal presentation.
Working on an EPOS till system.
Keeping the store and stock clean and presentable.

Additional Information:

Brand led training courses.
Uniform is provided.
Full-time 36.5 – 40hrs, 5 days per week.
Part-time hours as arranged with the manager (weekend availability necessary).
