About The Role

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities in a residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care while leading and supporting a team to help individuals live fulfilling, independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding care.
Promote person-centred support, ensuring each individual's needs, choices and goals are respected.
Assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, medication and community access where required.
Complete and review care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
Support staff through mentoring, supervision and on-the-job guidance.
Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies are followed at all times.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the people we support.
Take responsibility for the service in the absence of the Manager, where required.

About You

Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a residential or supported living setting.
Experience in a senior or leadership role is desirable.
A caring, patient and positive approach with excellent communication skills.
Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable; willingness to work towards further qualifications if required.
Knowledge of safeguarding, medication administration and person-centred care.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and right to work checks, in line with safer recruitment and CQC requirements.
Due to the location of The Leys your own transport is recommended
