Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will support the conveyancing process by managing documentation, coordinating communication between clients and solicitors, and ensuring smooth transaction progress. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help facilitate efficient property transfers, making a positive impact on our clients’ experiences. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal support skills within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist with preparing and reviewing conveyancing documents, contracts, and legal forms
Filing & scanning
Coordinate communication between clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors to ensure timely updates
Manage case files using Leap, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Schedule appointments, inspections, and meetings related to property transactions
Track deadlines and progress of conveyancing matters to ensure compliance with legal requirements
Maintain accurate records of all correspondence, documentation, and transaction details
Support the team in responding promptly to client inquiries and providing exceptional customer service

Requirements

Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Excellent GCSE and A’ Level results
Educated to degree level preferred but not essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and management
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Knowledge of IT systems relevant to legal or conveyancing processes is a plus
Fluency in English with clear written and verbal communication abilities
Effective time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Previous experience in legal support or conveyancing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
