Woodhill Grange - Nursing home for Older people

Woodhill Grange is a purpose built nursing home primarily for the care of older people in a homely environment. Our dedicated team supports older people to live with dignity, comfort, and independence—ensuring every resident enjoys a fulfilling life in a safe and nurturing community.

At Woodhill Grange, nutrition is central to wellbeing. Our catering team plays a vital role in delivering seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary needs, promote good health, and offers the familiar, comforting flavours our residents love. Our thoughtfully designed meal plans reflect the changing seasons and preferences of the residents, with every dining experience supporting both physical health and emotional wellbeing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced kitchen assistant to join our catering team. In return we offer:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned in accordance with established cleaning schedules
Adhere to all statutory and Company Health & Safety regulations
Correctly store all dry, chilled and perishable goods as soon as possible following receipt and checking
Store all cleaning materials safely and in full compliance with COSHH Regulations
Clean and correctly store all pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware and service equipment to required standards
Support the delivery of seasonal, nutritious menus that enhance residents’ wellbeing and reflect individual dietary needs
Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by the Chef, Head Chef or Home Manager

ABOUT YOU

Experience in catering roles, ideally within a care home or hospitality environment
A kind, caring approach and a passion for delivering the highest standards of service and support to older people
Strong communication skills and a participatory approach to working with residents, relatives and colleagues
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with flexibility to work independently when required
Right to work in the UK
