The company provides nails, woodscrews, bolts & nuts, fixings & fastenings, fencing, sealants, ironmongery and building products to trade customers such as builders merchants, fencing suppliers, roofing merchants and DIY outlets.

We are seeking an Customer Care Supervisor to oversee the Customer Care Team ensuring the best level of service is provided to our customers in the Internal Sales Team.

We are a close knit team, who are all passionate about John George, our products and the value we bring to our customers. You would be overseeing the Customer Care team to support the Internal Sales Manager.

Core elements of the role

Support the Internal Sales Manager to oversee the Customer Care team, this department is reactive to any customer interactions.

The elements of this role include:

Be responsible for the managing of the Customer Care Team
Organise and manage workflows to ensure they are completed on time and the standard of work is high
Train and onboard new staff
Critically analyse sales processes and suggest improvements to the Internal Sales Manager
Produce and Monitor KPI’s
To be able to act decisively with justification on behalf of the company
Maintain and implement processes to ensure the department is working to it’s highest potential

Able to make decisions and take accountability for those decisions
Willingness to learn (all training will be provided)
Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
Knowing when to delegate

Previous experience in an office based Supervisor or Team Leader role is welcomed but is not a requirement.

Please note this role will be based in our Reading Sales office Monday to Friday, travel will be required to our Bristol sales office at least once per month.
