Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hire Desk Controller to join our Crane Hire Company. In this vital role, you will coordinate our clients Cranes Hire Requirements, ensuring smooth communication between clients, carriers, and internal departments. Your expertise in transportation management systems and supply chain processes will drive efficiency and reliability across our operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our logistics network, supporting timely deliveries and fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Duties

Manage and update our daily booking systems, ensuring the clients requirements are always correctly allocated to each job.
Communicate clearly with operators, supervisors, other office staff, and customers via phone etiquette to confirm schedules and resolve issues promptly.
Handling hire enquiries via telephone, email, and online ordering systems.
Checking equipment availability and maintaining accurate fleet statuses.
Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent customer service
Organizing council permits and parking suspension for clients bespoke job requirements.
Strong understanding of supply chain operations.
Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and maintaining detailed logs.

About You

Previous experience as a Hire Desk Controller, Hire Controller, or similar role within the Crane Hire, Plant Hire, Powered Access, Material Handling, or Equipment Hire industry
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
