About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of Flora Professional's fastest-growing and most strategically important customer partnerships.
As Senior National Account Manager, you'll take ownership of our relationship with our key route to market customer – Brakes. Helping transform it from a strong trading relationship into a true strategic partnership. With a new long-term trading agreement taking shape and significant brand innovation planned across the portfolio, you'll play a leading role in shaping the next phase of growth.
Working alongside our Culinary team, Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain, New Business and End User teams, you'll build customer-led solutions that help Brakes and its customers succeed. From securing branded new listings and launching innovation to developing category opportunities and creating joint growth plans, you'll combine commercial thinking with culinary expertise to deliver long-term value.
Your Mission Objective
Build a Strategic Partnership
Develop trusted relationships across Brakes, from buying and category teams through to marketing, supply chain, depot teams, sales, telesales and senior leadership. Build a collaborative partnership that delivers value beyond commercial negotiations.
Deliver Sustainable Growth
Lead the development and execution of a three-year Joint Business Plan that drives revenue, distribution, profitability and category growth. Identify opportunities to grow existing branded business while securing new listings and expanding product penetration across the Brakes network.
Bring Culinary Solutions to Life
Work closely with our Culinary team to showcase Flora Professional products through menu development, product demonstrations, customer events and commercial presentations. Help customers unlock solutions that improve taste, consistency, functionality and kitchen performance.
Drive Commercial Excellence
Lead pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, demand planning forecasting, promotional planning and sales analysis performance reviews. Use category insight, customer data and market knowledge to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable business growth.
Collaborate to Win
Partner with colleagues across Culinary, Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain, New Business and End User teams to ensure innovation launches, customer activations and growth plans are delivered seamlessly and create value throughout the route to market.
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
- Proven experience managing and growing strategic National Accounts within Foodservice, FMCG or Beverage, ideally including Brakes, Bidfood, Booker or similar wholesale route to market foodservice customers.
- A strong track record of developing Joint Business Plans and delivering sustainable commercial growth through existing customer partnerships.
- Excellent commercial acumen, with experience leading pricing negotiations, managing commercial terms and delivering revenue, volume and profitability targets.
- Strong understanding of the Foodservice wholesale landscape and how route to market distributors create value for operators and end users.
- Experience launching branded innovation and working closely with Marketing, Culinary, Category and Sales teams to deliver successful customer activations.
- The ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation, from buying teams, supply chain, sales through to senior leadership.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate customer insight into long-term commercial opportunities while maintaining excellent day-to-day execution.
- A collaborative, proactive approach with strong influencing skills and the confidence to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- A genuine passion for food and helping customers develop successful menu and category solutions.
